NEW FACES FRIDAY - 8/28/2020

Last week I was back in the studio meeting inspiring people who are getting back to the grind in NYC. Listening to everyone’s stories and the way they have handled the last 6 months was a very therapeutic process. It’s really cool to have the chance to appreciate conversation with a real person in front of you.

I’m really trying to take this time (an opportunity, really) to develop an exchange between my subjects and me into something more meaningful. There’s parts of it that feel like I’m getting ahead. I realize this is a good chance to fight for the future.

Here’s to finding a new path forward and being determined to create with purpose.

GOSEE FRIDAY - AUGUST 2020

Once a month, I meet with faces across the industry in search of inspiring people and their stories. Here are top picks of personalties and unique people.

This gosee took place pre-COVID — but now that day to day life is slowly resuming, I will be sharing socially-distant gosees and inspiring people!

This month’s talent comes from Wilhelmina Models. Special Thanks to Stephanie Clark.

Currently listening to: Burns - Edit by George FitzGerald

DANICA ROGANOVIC - PORTRAITS

Actress Danica Roganovic from Montenegro is a Law school graduate dedicated to fulling promises she made to herself. The first of which, was to cross the Atlantic.

She prescribes herself to more than one category. Writer, actress, model, thinker, seeker, helper. A former volleyball player, with 14 years of ballet, national folklore and Latin-American dance experience. Her plan is to sell a script based on her own life that’s been torturing her for quite some time.

ASHIKA PRATT for SEEMA MAGAZINE

I photographed Ashika Pratt for the inaugural launch of Seema Magazine at my studio in downtown Manhattan.

“Growing up, I had a complicated relationship with my identity,” she says. “I look Indian, but when I open my mouth I have a kiwi accent.”

Now she embraces it. Saying “There’s enough room for everyone.”

Stylist: Danny Morales. Hair: Walton Nunez. Makeup: Carmindy. Creative Director: Khirma Eliazov.
